Chopped Pork and Onion Rissoles
June 20th, 2015 in Main Dishes, Pork by Julia VolhinaI love this recipe. And if you use boneless country-style pork rib meat as I do and get tender and juicy meat “pancakes”, you will love it too.
Just chop the meat along with onions, mix with eggs and some starch, set it in fridge to marinate and then fry later.
This is one of meals you can prepare everything for some time in advance, and then just fry them right before serving.
Quick Fried Beef with Onions
June 6th, 2015 in Beef, Main Dishes by Julia VolhinaThis is amazingly quick recipe for fried beef. Perfect dish for when you have some beef frozen up and you need to throw a dinner together quick and easy.
You don’t even need to thaw it all the way, meat will actually be much easier to slice if it is frozen a bit. Just make sure you use sharp knife.
Now, time to cook will depend on the meat cut – the softer meat is the lesser time to cook it will require. Just try from time to time until it is soft enough.
Rabbit Stew with Mushrooms and Sour Cream
February 14th, 2015 in Main Dishes, Rabbit by Julia VolhinaRabbit meat is considered to be lean and overall healthy meat option. We were cooking rabbits pretty often at home in Ukraine. But here in US I was never lucky enough to see one in store.
This seem had changed recently: both, Whole Foods and Giant Eagle Market District in area where we live, now started carrying young rabbits (I hope it isn’t some kind of trial).
So I couldn’t resist, bought one and decided to share this simple and yet pretty tasty recipe for rabbit stew with mushrooms and sour cream. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Meat Stew with Beans
January 31st, 2015 in Beef, Main Dishes by Julia VolhinaIf you are looking for quick recipe with meat – try meat stew with beans.
It is pretty quick and is not too complicated to do: cooking time will depend on the meat cut you use, but in average it is between 30 and 45 mins.
I used beef (chuck roast cut) for this one, but pork will work for this recipe as well.

November 22nd, 2014 in Main Dishes, Pork by Julia VolhinaThis is really recipe for the ham glaze: the ham is already fully cooked, and it will just need heating up and a bit of taste.
It is easy recipe for celebration table. If you want to feed more people take bigger piece of meat and increase amount of other ingredients, cooking time will need to be adjusted appropriately.
Left overs can be easily served for lunch, cold or reheated.
Pineapple Stuffed Pork Pockets
October 10th, 2014 in Main Dishes, Pork by Julia VolhinaPork tastes great with pineapple. These pork pockets rubbed with mix of spices and stuffed with pineapple chunks are perfect fit for romantic or celebration dinner.
Other cuts of pork can be cooked like this, but tenderloin works the best due to shape and tenderness.
I used fresh pineapples, but canned ones may work good too.
